baked apples recipe for baby food?
My husband and I have a 6 month old and we make her own baby food at home (it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than store bought). I have been looking for a recipe for baked apples to make her applesauce but all the recipes I have found say to core it and add all this butter and brown sugar. I know the butter is so it doesn’t dry out but I don’t want her to have butter and I also don’t have an apple corer and I need to make them today and have no time to go to the store. Is there a way I can poke the apples all over like when you bake potatoes and place them in the oven or will they explode? Do I have to use a corer? Thanks!
I cut my apple up and then remove the core. I use Splenda or another no calorie sweetener and cinnamon. I do not use butter. reduce the cooking time
