Very Happy with this Purchase
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
When my old food processor finally broke down, I considered a number of different models and did a lot of research. The Braun 650 had the most positive reviews, so I went with it, and I have not been disappointed. First of all, it’s light weight (my old one weighed so much I avoided using it because I didn’t want to lift it), and the bowl and lid fit together very easily. No fiddling around trying to get the parts to lock. I used it first to slice six large onions for onion soup, and it did a fine job. But I figured that onions are easy, so I withheld judgement. Then, this weekend, I needed to chop a pound of dark chocolate for ganache. I broke the large brick into just a couple of pieces, put them into the Braun and in a minute I had perfectly chopped chocolate. It’s clearly powerful, and it’s been easy to clean. I can definitely recommend this food processor.
Takes up space, but does a fantastic job!

We had a Braun food processor for many years, but it finally wore out (would only work on high speed, blade too dull) so I started looking around for a replacement. All the typical review sites (such as [...]) tended to recommend Cuisinarts. I actually bought two and returned them both. The newer models have locking mechanisms in the feeding tube and are generally a real pain to use. When I ran across the CombinMax K650, I was thrilled! The best thing about it is the variable speed. I never had that before, just the usual high and low speeds. It makes an amazing difference. My veggies always used to get chopped practically to pulp in the past. Now I can use lower speeds and get the larger chunks I often want. My one complaint is that it doesn’t come with the large slicing blade, so I had to buy that elsewhere since that’s the slicing size I use most often. I look forward to using this for a long time to come.
“Grate” product!

After my wedding-gift food processor of 20 years broke I hesitated buying a replacement for months because of the expense after pricing a direct replacement. After reading the many glowing reviews for this machine, a different brand altogether, I took the plunge. Not only is the price much lower than the other, I am very much impressed with the simpler (no more complicated, multi-part, hard to clean, lid/feeder component), more efficient, lighter weight design. Best of all is the variable speed control; perfect for grating cheese!
My experience so far has been nothing but good. I’d highly recommend this product.
Really great machine

We’ve had this food processor for just a short time, but it has already become indespinsable in our kitchen. I read every review I could find on this and the better known cuisinart machines, and this one has a better package of features. Others have noted the variable speed control. This may not seem like a big deal. It is.
I also agree that this is a very quiet food processor. I think that’s because it’s belt driven. The motor is housed in the tower to the left of the bowl which also locks the lid in place.
The thin slicer is very thin – almost too thin I’d say. We’ve ordered the adjustable slicer and will almost certainly use it much more.
You can also fill this with liquids much higher than other machines. Spillage isn’t a problem.
Two gripes, though not enough to take away a star: First, I wish Amazon would carry this so that it could be purchased with free shipping with Prime. Currently you can only buy it through marketplace. I found it about $15 less somewhere else, so I didn’t purchase it through Amazon. Second, the accessories (blades, replacement parts) seem to be a little hard to find on the internet. Most of what I found was in Canada or Europe.
Unlike every other machine made in China, this one was manufactured in Hungary. Don’t know whether or not that matters, but there it is.
Most of our other kitchen appliances were wedding gifts from 20 years ago. This seems to be better constructed that anything else we’ve got, so hopefully we’ll enjoy using this a good long time.
Makes you feel good just to use this product

Great product. Does it’s job with ease. Clean up is a snap. The slicing blade that comes with the unit makes VERY thin slices. Don’t waste your time ordering the thicker slicing blade. Order item # F3200-649 – Adjustable Insert Carrier. Cost = $14.00. Also, order item # F3200-650 – Adjustable slicing insert. Cost = $11.99. The unit should have came with these two items, but still giving 5 stars. If you like french fries, order item # F3200-651 – Adjustable French Fry Insert. The french fry insert works with the adjustable carrier. Cost = $10.50.
I purchased the accessories from theEssentials dot com
