I am considering two food processors, listed below. The main difference appears to be the fact that one has a shredding blade capability. I am new to food processing, and I don’t know if this is an important feature. Is it important? I hope to make Indian food purees, soups, hummus, salsa, and other items.

To me the shredder blade makes it too fine and the chute to put food in is too narrow.
If I were to choose one I would buy this one
it has a 500 watt motor and more capacity

I realize Cuisinart is a good brand
if I were you I would wait till after Christmas there will be many on sale
