How to remove a stuck Kitchenaid Food Processor Blade (blade in the 4 cup bowl)?
I have a 12 cup KitchenAid Food Processor.
I tried to break a piece of semi hard cheese in the 4 cup bowl, but stopped in 2 pulses as i realized maybe its a bad idea.
Now the blade in the smaller bowl (4 cup) does not come off the bowl. It moves around. It also works when i connect it to the power supply, but it just does not come out. I tried using all force to forcibly remove it, but it does not come out.
I tried making the bowl with the blade sit in warm soapy water for a couple of hours, but the blade still does not come out. Please help me!
The placement of the 4 cup bowl is inside the 12 cup bowl. All these units are connected to the base of the KitchenAid Food Processor. UNless i take out the 4 cup bowl blade, it doesnt allow me to remove the bowl assembly from the base!! which is why i cannot immerse the bowls in warm water, which otherwise would have been a very good solution.

Try putting the whole bowl with the stuck blade into a bucket with hot water and let it soak for several hours then try to remove it. It sounds like you have a piece of the cheese stuck up in the shaft of the bowl. By soaking the entire thing it should cause water to go up inside the shaft of the blades and soften the cheese.
Actually, what you’re going to have to do is find a couple of fairly large, preferably very close to the same size, screwdrivers, with which you can apply pressure equally to both sides of the bowl with the blade that’s stuck, and pop it up and off the spindle. It’s just a smooth shaft with a flatted end on top, to set in a recessed area of the blade center. Not sure why, but sometimes they get really stuck on there and nearly refuse to come loose. I’ve used the screwdriver method for years in my shop with nearly 100% success rates.
