Recommendations for a good meat grinder?
I recently saw the Jamie Oliver special where he talked about U.S. beef now contains chopped how sometimes something called Slime Rosa (usually meat waste used to feed the dogs and contains e-coli, etc. is washed with ammonia and then added with ground beef). I began to think that I prefer to correct my burger, but I'm not sure that meat grinder to obtain. I initially wanted a meat grinder for KitchenAid mixing table, but I have seen comments from people who say they got metal shavings in the flesh. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have recommendations for a meat grinder good (not interested in buying a professional factory super expensive). I am not opposed to the mills of the hand if it does not rust. Thank you!
I use a ALFA MC5, cheap (relatively). He is a workaholic, can handle anything throw at it quickly, has a purge function in the case of that something is stuck, comes with accessories making sausage, different types of disk coarsely ground, well built, nice design elegant. I use it for my cats raw ground bone, and all without hesitation.
