Kitchenaid Stand Mixer Reviews
KitchenAid, Sunbeam….etc. stand mixer reviews?

I am currently looking to buy a stand mixer. I have read mixed reviews of KitchenAid, Sunbeam, and a few others. Does anyone have any opinions on what is the best buy for the money?
By the way, I will mostly be using this to make thick buttercream icing, so it needs to be one that can handle that. Thanks

Kitchen aid is probably the most powerful, but is also the heaviest. We have a Sunbeam, new in 1970. I greased the gears about 10 years ago, but other than that, it still works the same as when we bought it. 1/3 the price of a Kitchen Aid.
